Cards I have made

Ok, I think I am starting to get the hang of this blogging thing and it is actually kind of neat. I still have some serious learning to do, but it is becoming more familiar.

I am posting a couple more pictures of some artwork that I did. The idea for the criss cross card was totally scraplifted and unfortunately I can't remember to whom I should give credit. But it was my first attempt at a criss cross card and I was so pleased with it. With that said, here are the next couple cards......

January card club projects

These are the ideas that we came up with for our January card club idea. We are really excited about sharing these projects with our club and look forward to their reactions.

card club hostess gifts

Cindy and I thought a lot about hostess gifts for our card club members. We felt that since each member was going to spend a fair amount of money over the course of the clubs duration we should in return give them a nice keepsake gift. We made each person their own tins to hold sample cards, technique methods, card recipes and whatever else they wanted. We asked their favourite colour and with that designed and created these beautiful keepsake boxes keeping each persons individual personality in mind. I must say that the pictures really don't do these keepsakes justice.

First posting

Wow, so here I am....My first blog ever. I am still not really sure what I am doing so bear with me while I figure things out. I really want a place to display the artwork - scrapbook layouts, cards and other paper crafting that I do. I may even throw in a sewn item or two.

I have been scrapbooking for about 10 years now - boy has it changed over the years. My first introduction to scrapbooking included some pictures, a few cardstock shapes (2 triangles and 12x1 retangle pieces) and a background. It is amazing now to see the amazing designs that are created now with the embellishments, beautiful papers and a bit of personal style.

Cardmaking is relatively new to me. I have only been doing it for about 1.5 years. I was inspired by my Stampin Up consultant to make cards and other paper crafts. I was later introduced to Close To My Heart and all the wonderful products this company has to offer.

My neighbour and good friend Cindy and I decided that we would embark on an adventure together of sharing our passion for paper crafting with others. We became consultants for Close To My Heart and have started our first card club. We are having so much fun creating, designing, and sharing our ideas.

The following posts will have artwork that we have created. We hope you enjoy seeing them as much as we enjoyed creating them.

With that being said......Onward we march......
