Organization message centre

This is what I have been doing over the past couple weeks.  Trying to get ready for school.  For years I have wanted to do a message centre for my kids.  I am giving them a chore chart (I still need to make the magnets) and an in/out box.  I am going to add hooks under so they can hang their back packs and coats.  I am hoping to keep them (and me) a little more organized this year and the years to come.  My oldest really struggles with organization so hopefully a one stop shop will help him out.

Please, let me know what you think!

I will be back after school starts this week with more posts.

Technique Class project (on display at open house)

I must say that I am inlove with this card.  It is by far one of my favourites.  I was really nervous doing the background (which is the technique we will do on our first technique class) but then realized how easy it is.  There are actually 3 techniques on this card but it is the background we will be doing.  Can anyone tell me what the technique is called?

I will have both this and the 6x6 page on display at my open house this Sunday August 19.  Everyone welcome.

Christmas Card class (cards on display at open house)

I am super excited to run a class with these beautiful tags from Stampin Up.  These will be on display at my open house on August 19 from 1-4 (come and go as you please).

We will be making 25 cards (5 of each design) for $25.  That will include all of the materials you need to make these beautiful cards.  Honestly I don't think it will take much more than an hour to make and complete all of them.  You will get to use a lot of Stampin Ups new products.  I don't have a firm date for this class yet but it will be sometime in early October.  Stay tuned for the date.  To be put on my mailing list, send your email to janellejaksitz@shaw.ca.

Open House RSVP

I am really looking forward to August 19th and hosting my very first open house.  I would love to see you there and everyone is invited.  I live in Fort Saskatchewan on Wedgewood Cres (send me a message for my exact address).

To attend this event, I ask that you please RSVP.  Here is how you can do that.

2.  You can email me directly at janellejaksitz@shaw.ca.  Please provide me your full name, phone number and email address.  None of this information will be used to send you unwanted correspondence.

3.  Fell free to do it the old fashion way and give me a call.  My phone number is 780 589 3200.  Again if you are leaving a message, please leave your full name, email and phone number.

Hope to hear from you soon.

At convention I saw this technique with flowers and though it was pretty cool.  People used flowers and snowflakes so I thought I would give it a try with my favourite vintage stamp - Nature Walk.  Anyways I think it turned out okay.  BUT I must admit that the Summer Starfruit colour is really growing on me......

Punch Art Class

I have had some questions on what a punch art class is and what it would look like so here is a bit more information.

My example is a punch art strawberry.  This is a fairly basic and simple punch art to create but that is how I would like to start my class - simple.  We can work up to more challenging projects from here.  At the end of the year, you will have 10 of these punch art pages (assuming you attend each class) and can start your own album for easy reference.

This is a 6x6 page that still needs the header on it (which I will print and give to each member at class). As you complete these pages over the months, you can put them into an album for your reference - or at the end of the classes you can give it away as a gift to another crafter.

This is a sample project that we will make on the same night using the punch art that we created.  I think it is a fun way to create and add dimension to your projects.

HOW THE CLASS WILL WORK:

Objective:  Each month we will create a 6x6 page and a project using the punch art.
Cost:  $10 per class OR the class is free with a $30 order.
Supply list:  tape runner adhesive, 2 way glue and scissors.  All paper that requires trimming, I will have ready for you.
RSVP:  I will need you to RSVP about 2 weeks before the class so I can ensure time to order everything and time to prepare for the class.

Classes will be held at my house - contact me for directions at janellejaksitz@shaw.ca

Dates are posted on my stampin up website:  www.jaksscraps.stampinup.net.  I believe the first date is Sept 20 at 7:00 pm

I am very passionate about stamping and creating and my goal is really to share things I have learned with others.  My classes are fun, laid back and no pressure.  If you have RSVP'd that means I have gone ahead and ordered and prepared supplies for you.  If you are unable to attend after you have RSVP'd I would like to ask that you still submit payment.  I will give you all the paper supplies that we used to create the projects and you can assemble it at your leisure.  I will always have the items we created posted.  I just want this to be a fun experience for all of us.

Payment can be made ahead of time by cash or cheque. It can also be paid on the night of the class.

I hope that I will see you at the punch art class.  If you would like more information, please don't hesitate to contact me.
