Another sympathy card for the same family

Here is another sympathy card that I created tonight. I hope this is the last one that I need to do for a very long time. This has definately started out as a rough year in regards to deaths. Hopefully the rest of the year will look up!

Sadly, I have another sympathy card to do. Coming from a small town you always stay a part of each others lives in some form or fashion no matter how long you have been gone. The woman who died had cancer and left behind her husband, 4 children (and spouses) along with 14 grandchildren. She was only in her 60's and taken much to early. She was always active in our small community and a wonderful person to know.

I saw a similar card to this on splitcoaststampers and really like it so I tried my version of it. The flowers are from the March Word Puzzle stamp set from CTMH. The Thinking of You is also from a CTMH stamp set. The butterfly is from a diecut from SU. I then painted it with pearl paint from CTMH and finished it off with some pearls I got from dollarama.

great idea for ribbon storage

This idea came from an email I got from the Urban Scrapbook in Edmonton, Alberta. The first is on how to make accordion flowers but it is the second tip that caught my attention. A great idea for ribbon storage that I never thought of. I always struggle with ideas that work for ribbon storage and thought this was brilliant! Just thought I would share.

Final Easter card

I am not sure it comes across in this picture but this card is so sweet. You can really see the colour lines in this pic but you don't notice them this much in real life. The Happy Easter is embossed. This was an easy fun card to make.

Easter card

This is a cute Easter card that I made. Yellow and Orange aren't colours that I am drawn to so I find using them can be difficult. I wanted a bright happy card so this is what it ended up as. It was fund and turned out not to bad.

Snowboard birthday

My brother is an avid snowboarder. This isn't my favourite card that I have done but it kinda grew on me a bit. I am finally ahead of the game with birthday cards. WHEW!!!

Easter is coming

I received my Sensational Season SOTM on Friday and couldn't wait to start playing with it. This is the first card that I designed using this set. I thought it was so cute. I hope I get a chance to create more before Easter actually gets here. I have really turned my focus to scrapbooking. I am so far behind on all my albums that I feel the need to start catching up. I am getting there - slowly - very slowly....

96th birthday card

This is the card that I made for my Nanny who was 96 this past week. Although she is living in an extended care facility now she still has all her facilities about her and enjoys life, humour, conversation and seeing family. She is such a beautiful person and I couldn't love her more....
